Dear Dr. Cepinskas,
Your research on the systemic inflammatory response syndrome has truly fascinated me. I believe that the findings from your research will significantly benefit the world and I would be grateful to be part of it. As an assistant researcher, I am certain that I will learn many things from working with you because researching critical illnesses worldwide and helping reduce the number of people suffering from them has always been my dream career. I would also be delighted to take on the opportunity to gain experience in a field that I am deeply interested in. I would certainly enjoy my working experience at the London Regional Cancer Program with you and I will gladly work to the best of my ability.
I am a conscientious person who works hard to make a positive influence on everyone around me. At school, I always put in my best effort to reach my goals and I am passionate about new concepts I learn from every course I take. I am also an excellent listener as I am attentive and patient when talking to others. In addition, being involved in numerous extracurricular activities including playing in the London Youth Symphony and participating in the Model United Nations club during and outside of school has taught me how to stay organized and manage my time wisely. Moreover, the skills that I acquired from my past jobs as a babysitter and a flyer deliverer include responsibility and good decision-making skills, and they will definitely help me be successful at my workplace. Thus, I am certain that my skills and experiences complement the duties of a researcher.
I feel confident in my ability to perform the tasks as part of your research team at and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with you. Aside from the skills and qualifications I described above, there are many others listed on my resume that would make me the perfect assistant researcher at your laboratory. Please feel free to contact me any time you prefer. In the meantime, thank you for the time and effort you take in reviewing my application.
Sincerely,
Jane Doe
